Summer School Provision August 2021

This summer Seaford Head School hosted two weeks of summer provision to our support current and incoming new students. During the first week students from Year 7-13 attended a range of workshops being engaged and inspired through their existing hobbies, interests and being challenged by trying new activities such as DJ’ing, watercolour and fantasy role play games. Study Skills sessions helped our learners engage with subjects on a deeper level and boost their learning. The sessions explored the curriculum in more depth and enabled learners to reach their best potential with specialist learning experiences. We were also delighted to offer an employability session with BOOST Life Skills and are very grateful to Sian Noon, The Youth Fairy, for running workshops to support our students’ emotional wellbeing and developing a positive mind set.

The transition week saw over 150 students attending fun packed activity days at our Steyne Road Site. Working with Steps Up and Priority 154 the young people took part in a huge range of sports, arts, drama, music and many other activities. It was fantastic to see so many of our new Year 7 students having fun, trying new things and getting to know each other.
